Formful
A family of floppy ceramics.
With a bit of help from gravity they shape themselves. After an uncentered and irregular throw on the pottery wheel I drop the piece to the floor. The moment it hits the floor the shape collapses in its weak spots while it organically leans on its own body. Formful is an ungoing project. Every piece is a character on its own but also functions as a part of a larger research library. The whole collection is standing in a cabinet on the wall in my atelier, gathered as a family. When I sell a piece I make a new one to fill up the empty spot on the wall. I love the moment where I drop the piece. When it escapes my control it shows its new shape.
